Visa stamping in India for H1B and H4

Hi All,

I had applied for H1B Extension along with H4 Extension and H4 EAD .

H1B was approved for 3 years with I797 and H4 EAD was approved and we received the card.
But there was no update on H4 Extension, which is weird as H4 EAD would be approved only if H1B and H4 Extension are approved.

I am traveling to India in March and I need to visit the consulate to get our visa stamped

1. Is it compulsory to have H4 I797 Document ?
2. What should be my next steps ?
