Just heard that my company is laying me off, I have approved i-140 (PD 2012) from previous employer and present employer filed green card application an year but have not received I140 approval yet.
Can you please guide on below;
1) I have asked my company to keep me on payroll for 1-1.5 months, will it help me to extend my 60 days grace period by 1-1.5 months?
2) Within 60 days grace period, is that the time I need to apply for H1B or get H1B approval?
3) If I get a job offer after 60 days are over, can I still apply for H1B even if I am out of status?
4) Do I need to do something right now, like tell USCIS etc?
5) If I move back to India, is Company responsible to provide me air tickets for me and my dependents?
