Hi ,
I have a approved , stamped H1B visa (issued date : 11JAN2013 , Expired on 30SEP2015). But i never entered U.S during this period on H1B visa.
In 2015, while my H1B visa is still active , I applied for F1 visa and it got approved (issued date : 20MAY2015 , Valid Till: 18MAY2020).
I came to US on 21st Jul 2015 on F1 Visa to do my masters.
I completed my masters degree now and i am on F1- OPT status currently.
Now for me change status to H1B visa,
Do i have to do fresh filling of H1B Visa or i will be cap exempt?
Since i haven't used my initial stamping period, does that period still counts in total H1b years allowed.
