Hi.. I had my H1B visa interview on 5th n 6th April. As we all know there was Tamil Nadu bundh announced on 5th April , it doubled my fear Bec of chances of interview postpone which may be result in further wait..
Luckly there was no off in US consulate office and also fear of bundh made me go 4 hr early than allowed slot.after long wait in queue finally biometric got over.
On next day (6th April) my slot was 10.30 am but over panctuality made me wait in outside queue for more than hour. I suggest candidate to go just 15min before slot .
One main thing I felt bad about us consulate general office is no locker for mobile. People need their mobile phone for travel booking. I had bad experience paying 300 for locker without any option to some local auto guys and also they demand once you come back interview for extra money in rude way. Due to language problem we will not get other option than paying money and get out from that spot. I think all might have faced this problem.
Coming to my interview below questions were asked
Employer name
Client name
Cleint location
Salary in us payroll
To my wife they asked how long you have been married
I got golden words "ur visa is approved"
This happiness made me ignore auto guys rudeness. But still I am feeling guilty about paying my hard earned money to rowdy kind of auto guys.
I feel sad for non Tamil guys who come for interview.
My finally request is to keep locker system in US consulate general like we have it in bimetric cneter.
