Hello Everyone,
I recently completed my doctoral degree at a US university and my F1 visa expired this past May. My new employer has filed for my H1-B visa for fiscal year 19
and I haven't heard back from USCIS for an update yet. I have applied for my OPT and its expected to arrive in mid-July. I was planning to travel to India in the next few weeks, I was anxious whether it would be risky to travel with my F-1 expired, and without any news for H1-B and OPT yet. I am not too concerned about my OPT since I am planning to have my EAD card mailed to me in India.
I was wondering what complications are involved in having my F1 visa renewed. Also, if anyone has had recent dropbox experience at New Delhi Embassy for F1 visa renewal, please share your experience.
