  • I-129 - how to get from old employer, is it required for visa stamping ?

    Hi ,

I came to USA on L1B from company X and a consultant company Y sponsored my H1B where I worked for 5 months and then a US employer (company Z) hired me on its payroll so H1B got transferred to current US employer.

I want to go for h1b stamping in India but not sure if old I-129 is required, I have all other stuffs (Pay slips, W2, service / offer letters, approved petition) from my current and first employer but only missing doc is I-129 from company Y (consultant company) where I worked for 5 months. I have other docs though like pay slips, W2, Offer/Service letter and original petition except I-129 from that company , I never went to India for stamping after coming first time so never got stamped on H1B but have L1B stamped which is expired now.

1- Do I need that missing I-129 from old employer/consultant for stamping ?
2-Job Description in DS-160 will be same as current employer mostly (technical and generic roles and responsibility for a software developer usually), Do I need to prepare things for any such query from Visa Officer?

    Thanks for responses....
