Hi,
I got my H1B visa in Oct of this year and I am looking for a job, but no success. My sponsor had made it very clear at the time of application that she will not help me in job search and will just apply for my visa. I am aware of the 60 days grace period and know I don't have much time. My question is what happens if I don't get a job within that 60 days? My spouse has a valid H1 visa and I was on H4 before my H1 got approved. If I don't get a job within 60 days, can I go back to H4 or will I have to leave the country?
To make things more confusing, my H4 EAD also got approved recently!!! I am totally lost as to what to do. Right now my whole focus is on finding a job but there are so many questions in my mind...I know my best bet is to consult a lawyer, but thought of checking in the forums first. Anyone in similar situation?
