Hi,
I looked at this link for the documents that needs to be presented for H4 Interview. I am trying to file for H4 for my wife.
However, I am confused on these 3 items mentioned here.
1. I-129 Petition Receipt Number, printed on approved Form I-129 petition
2. Original Form I-129
3. I-797 approval
I don't understand the first 2 item. I filed for my H1B extension in 2016 and is valid until Sept 2019 and I also have my I-140 approval.
I have the following documents
1. A copy of the original I-129 petition filed extension including LCA.
2. Original receipt of application (I-797C) and a copy
3. Original approval for H1B extension (I-797A)
4. A copy of the original I-140 Application
5. Original approval of I-140 approval with Priority date (I-797)
Is there a difference between I-797, I-797A and I 797C. I have submitted the original I-129 to USCIS.
Do i need to send the original I-797 approvals forms to my wife in India or i just need to send copies?
