  • I-94 Not Handed In

I was on an H1-B in the US several years ago. I did not hand my I-94 in when I left the country and I they might think I still live there.

There was an address to send documents confirming I was in my homeland during the time after which my H1-B status would have been invalid on the INS (as was) web site. Now I can't find it. Can anyone help?

    thanks

    Michael

If a frequent traveller is planning to return to US in next few months , I-94 need not be returned since the same I-94 can be used in next trip.

If for some reason, if there is a change in cancellation of plan to return to US, then I-94 remains with that person.

In such or any other cases, it may be a good idea to keep air line boarding pass or used ticket as a proof of having left the country.
