SSN Query

Hi,

I am here in US on H4. I have already filed for H1 this year and got the reciept number also. When can I apply for SSN?. Is it immediately after I get the H1B approval or on/after October 1st.?

there is nothin like u have to apply after 1 oct. once u get apporval u can apply next day
