H4 Visa Not rejected but passport not given back at the interview

So I attended Interview yesterday for h4 visa(3rd time visit to India in 11 years) each time i had an interview my visa was stamped with no issues , whatsoever . This time the interviewer said there's an issue in I797 petition and she also asked about my child , his age ,if he's born in US and currently residing there(yes, my son is there and i am here to visit my parents) she repeated that the petition has an issue and said they they will get back to me or notify. I had clarified if my visa has been approved she said not yet, we will notify you. She neither gave any pink slip/forum nor my passport, my pp is with them. When I check the visa tracking , I see this message for the past 2 days, Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. I am really worried as my son is 6 yrs old and lives there. Any idea what's happening?
