Hi everyone
My last H1B (and H4 for my spouse) stamping expired last September 2018. Since this is within the past 12 months (and other conditions are met as well), I'll be opting for the drop box method for our stamping.
I have 2 questions in relation to this process.
1. I renewed my Indian passport recently from within the US. The new passport has 'Place of issue' as Houston. When I update my profile information on the appointment booking site (https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/updateprofile), should I give 'India' or 'United States of America' for the question 'Passport Issuance Place'?
2. For my spouse's DS 160, should I
(A) Create a separate application after I complete my DS 160?
OR
(B) Use the 'Thank you' page after the email confirmation to click on 'Create a family application'?
Does option B tag/link my DS 160 with my spouse's? What benefit is there in using this option apart from having populated data from my DS 160?
I am trying to see which one works best for drop box option.
