Hi folks,

Need your opinion and feedback on the situation i am in.
I and my wife, both have valid h1b petitions and both are I140 approved.

My wife is currently working on H4 EAD with Company X. Her Company filed her h4 to h1b change of status on 20th Feb( Receipt notice date)
I was working with Company A and was let go on March 8th.

I'd like to know if i can use the application which is already filed for my wife change of status from H4 to H1b, convert that to premium and file my H1 to H4 EAD case along with it.
Is it possible to do that?
What challenges can be anticipated doing this?
I understand many folks will advise for both of us to stay on H1b and i agree with it. But i do not want to go thru the deadline of 60 days to find a new employer.
I am trying to stay away from body shoppers so want to give enough time to myself to find FTE.
Please advise if i can file my COS case from h1 to h4 with my wife while her H4 to H1 case is in progress.
