Can i Transfer H1 B even if current employer does not give H1B amended Petition docs

Hi
Few months back my work area has changed and my current employer A told me that he has filed for an H1B petition Amendment. After that he did not give any update on this.
He did not give me the new H1B amended documents.

Can i now change my current employer A and transfer the H1 to new employer B? i have original H1B petition documents but i do not have Amended details.
