URGENT!! Surname difference in Passport & Visa Approval Notice. Please guide.
My FULL Name is A B C
In Passport :
Surname : [Blank]
Given Name : A B
In L1 Visa Approval Notice ( I-797 ) :-
Name : C, A B
Stage : I am yet to fill Online forms DS-156, 157 & get Visa interview date.
Query :-
1. Can I go ahead filling in DS forms OR I will have to get my Surname removed from Visa Notice ( which will take over 1 month )
2. I learned that I will have to fill DS forms with First Name as FNU & Last Name as "A B". Hence my name would become FNU A B. Will it not pose any problem in future when I go US to apply for driving license, Bank Account etc.
* Some posts suggested to get Observation/Endorsement done in Passport but it is no longer done in Pune Passport office. Passport Officer / PRO didn't entertain my request to mention A B C name in observation page.
3. If I fill my surname C in Other Surnames column of DS-156, will my name in Visa be A B C ?
4. Is getting my name surname added in passport ( by applying fresh passport with Name change affidavit ) is only option left to avoid this FNU hassle ?
