can we get H1 stamped before it is effective

Hi All,

Here are few things.

1.Currently I am in OPT or practical trainning which ends in January 2007
2.My H1 was filed in May first week.
3.My H1 will be effective from November 15, I put that date in H1 application
4.My employer said I should receive the approval notice by this month's end

Questions:
Q1.Can I go Canada and get H1 stamped in the month of October.

I can go any time after November 15 for stamping.

Q2.If I want to go earlier, how many days before November 15 can I go canada to get stamping.

Can you please give information on what to do, If any good sources where I could get right information

---- Yes, once you receive you H1 approval notice you can go to canada for the Visa Stamping

I can go any time after November 15 for stamping.

---- That depends if you have a I-94 attached to the bottom of your approval notice. If there an attached I-94 then you can go anytime, otherwise you may have to go before Nov. 15

Q2.If I want to go earlier, how many days before November 15 can I go canada to get stamping.

---- Normally 10 days, but you can go earlier too

Can you please give information on what to do, If any good sources where I could get right information

Thanks for the informtaion.

If I go in October to Canada , but my H1 is effective from November 15 and get it stamped - will I have any problem when re- entering USA.

The information I asked is just to get Accurate information in questions like this , Are there any other sources.
