first i have to thank this group for posting their experiences in this site
my interview is on november 1st in mumbai .
can any please explain me what is w2 forms?

i have taxreturns of my consultancy for 2003,2004 ,they are saying 2005 tax returns are not available with them..

pls tell me what is w2 forms and is it required for the interview??

---- If you are working in the US you will receive W2 forms and they are statements you receive at the end of the year giving all the details of your earnings for the year and the taxes deducted

From the post it appears you have filed tax returns for 3 years and you are still asking what are W2 forms. If this is the first time that you are appearing for an interview at the US Consulate then you may a genuine excuse to ask. However, the question should not arise if you are in India
