Transit visa for Frankfurt

Hi Friends,

If my USA visa is expired, and am travelling back to India via Frankfurt, do i need Transit visa for Frankfurt? I am sure we need if it is London but not sure for Frankfurt.
Pl. advice if you have any info.

Look under the transit visa section. Germany has relaxed the transit visa criteria for now. 90% of the travellers on Lufthansa are in the same situation as you are, otherwise they would've got direct flights from the US to India . If you are going to your home country to get your visa extension stamped, your layover is not more than 24 hours and you will not be getting out of the airport terminal, you do not need a transit visa.

No transit visa required for franfurt if you have valid status

If you have Valid H1/H4 approval don't need transit visa for frankfurt.
I personally went to Atlanta german consulate to enquire about transit visa, they told me if your out of status then only transit visa required.
