H4 to H1: Multiple H1s .. please help

I was on H4. I applied for H1 through two consultants in May 2006. I received H1 through "A" that had a start date of Oct 1st 2006. I never joined "A".

Then I have received the H1 from "B" with start date of Nov 1st 2006, and am working with him.

I want to know what was my status from Oct 1st to Nov 1st? Would I be considered on H1 of "A" even though I did not join them, or will I be on H4 only? Please help me. It is very urgent.
