validity of petition of H1B

Hi,
can anyone help me in this regard? I've applied for H1B in 2005 & my petition was approved. After that I didn't appear for the H1B stamping process & neither filled up the form. Now, I want to file a fresh H1B Visa for the year 2007. I do not have the petition No at present & also left the job of the previous employer who filed for me in the year 2005.
Is it possible for me to find/track the previous petition number & subsequently apply for the stamping process for the year 2007 or I've to file a fresh H1B for the year 2007?

I think u need to apply fresh ....ur last H1 would be invalid by now.

Thank u Neeraj for your prompt reply, but do I need to disclose about my earlier petition while filling for fresh H1B, since I didn't appear before the Consulate in person.

No need to do that, the USCIS will have all ur details if they track cases by name or PP number. Anyway your New H1 will be applied by some new employeer and he can process it as new appliaction.

So no issues. Go ahead.
