Correction of details on VISA

I along with my wife and Kid had a sucessful VISA interview at chennai consulate in dec first week 06 and got our passports back within that week with the VISA stamped on it, but the Petition Number printed on the VISA was wrong for all of us, we had to resend it back to the consulate for correction.

Pls let me know if any one else has gone through similar experience and how much was the lead time for the passports to arrive back to you.

Hi,

How long did it take for the Chennai consulate to correct the visa? I too recently got my visa stamped but they have swapped my given name and surname on the visa. I have to travel soon and was wondering if I should give it for correction.
