  • 221(g) Got respone from Chennai Consulate...Subramanya

    Hi,

I am waiting for reponse from Chennai consulate for my 221(g).

First interview: 12th Sep 2006 Given 221(g) for client letter.
Second interview: 1st Nov 2006. Submitted the client letter.

On Jan 12th 2007, I sent a mail to chennai consulate asking for the status. I got the following response:

In accordance with United States law and Department of State guidelines, action on your case has been suspended, and your petition for a Non-immigrant Worker filed on your behalf is being returned to the
United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) with a
memorandum explaining the facts of your case as presented to us at the
time of interview. The U.S. Consulate in Chennai is no longer handling
your case, and will be unable to give you any information on the status
    of your petition.

    My questions:

I have 10+yrs experience with 3.5yrs of H1B experience in USA. All my personal records are genuine with W2's, proper tax filing documents from US, driving license & SSN card. My employer records are also good.

    1) Does this mean the H1B petition has been rejected?
    2) If yes, Do we get the reason for rejection?
    3) If No, whom to contact to get the status?

    I appreciate your kind response.

    Thanks,

---- I suggest that you apply for a fresh H1 in the year 2007 as this H1 process seems to be over for whatever reason.
