Am on H1 for the past 2 years. I met a girl who was on B2 while she was visiting US and married her here. She applied for I539 change of status from
B2 to H4 which was approved by USCIS. Now, she is going back to India alone for H4 stamping.
1. Which of the documents of the principal applicant (h1B holder) should she carry to the US consulate in original in addition to her original documents?
2. Is it required to have a letter from my employer describing our relationship even though the H4 approval notice is already issued by USCIS ?
3. Since we were married as per US laws and have received a US marriage certificate, would we have to register our marriage again under Hindu marriage act in India before getting the stamp in her passport?
4. Should she carry copies of all pages of my passport or only my visa copy is required?
5. what questions should she expect from the US consulate in India?
