H1B - Advertisement Site hosting revenues

Hello Sir,

I am currently holding H1-B visa and doing a full-time job. I want to host a website, content being advertisement URLs for other online stores.
One of the companies which agreed to share possible profits generated with me from these advertisement links has requested my SSN on form W-9.
They will be designing this website and I will be owning the domain name of this web-site with investment.

1. Is it legal to host abovesaid kind of web site to earn possible revenues?
2. If yes to 1 above, how tax payment works on possible revenues?

1. It is not legal as you would be actively working for the web site to generate revenue. And you are not allowed to work for anyone other than your H1 sponsor.
