renewal of H1 by current emplyer and transferring H1 to another company

My current H1 expires in august 2007. My employer has applied for renewal now. Another company is hiring me now and they have applied for H1 transfer too.
Will renewal of H1 by current employer affects the transfer ?

when the transfer happens, will my H1 remain till august only and again the new recruiter need to file for renewal for me ?
