H1 From emplyer X to be transfer to employe Y without reporting to Employer X

Hi,
I have got a h1 from employer X in 2006 quota. Now, employer X is acting smart and withdrawing from all his commitments.
I have an offer from Employer Y. Who tried for my H1 in 2006 quota, but was little late to apply.
Now employer Y is telling me to directly join him, without reporting to Employer X.
Is this legally possible? What are the chances of transfer not happening?
Pls reply ASAP.

If Employer Y is genuine and if you were not out of status (always in pay) then the transfer wont be a problem. You should have atleast 3-4 latest paystubs with Employer X.
