H1 visa appointment in Mumbai

HI All,

I am staying in Bangalore and my H1 B petition got approved. Now How do I take H 1 B visa appointment in Mumbai consulate?

My US Employeer has sent all papers. He assumed that I will be attending in Mumbai consulate.

I have been looking dates in www.vfs-usa.co.in site, but I never get
Mumbai dates when I select residing state as Karnataka.

You have to go to Chennai. Make a DD for Rs5000 at HDFC bank then you can get an appointment.

I have taken HDFC DD's. VO letters they have mention US Embassy Mumbai Consulate. They asked me to attend in Mumbai only. Earlier I was able to see Mumbai dates when I select residing state as Karnataka.

In an effort to improve service, nonimmigrant visa applicants who speak fluent English now have the option to apply for a nonimmigrant visa at the U.S. Embassy, New Delhi or the U.S. Consulates in Chennai or Mumbai. Applicants who wish to take advantage of this option should book their appointment online through VFS.
