F1 to H1 before completing Master's

Hi,

I am on F1. Based on my prior experience, a company is willing to hire me. I would like to know, is there any consequences if I convert to H1 and continue my Master's ?

Most universities have an OPT/CPT program where you can work for this company while doing your masters and one year after completing the masters degree. The advantage for that being you do not pay Social security and medicare taxes while on OPT/CPT. Ask them to file your H1 during the OPT program so you can start working for them immediately.
