For to renew H-1 B on time.

I have a serious problem. I forgot to renew my H-1 ontime . I got the approval till March 2007 and that was the date on my I-94 when i reentered in states but when i went to india for multiple stamping they gave me the date of visa on my passport till july 2007. I thought my H-1 is valid till then. I just send my H-1 paper for renewal after a month.

what are my chances it is an honest stupid mistake?

---- What is the mistake. If your H1 is valid till Mar 2007 and as of now if you have applied for the renewal, there should not be any issues as long as you can justify your continued employment with the same employer and that includes pay slips when they (USCIS) ask a question
