  • H1 to L1 OR L1 to H1

    Hi friends,

I have an H1 Approved. My problem is my current employer might agree to send me on L1.

Question : Is there any harm in getting H1 stamped. So, if current employer agrees for L1 processing, would it affect/application would be rejected etc.

I guess there is no possiblility of H1 transfer without actually quitting my current job, joining new employer in US.. Can I directly join my current company on this H1 by new Employer.

What would be the best option...

    Please suggest.

    Best Regards,
    Samar

-- No harm in getting H1 stamped. If your employer agrees for L1, then it would also be processed. But once you get your L1 stamped, then your H1 will automatically be cancelled.

-- You can join your current company on this H1 if your H1 employer and current employer agrees together.

-- Best option is to get L1 stamped and come to US on this L1. Do not get H1 stamped. If you need to leave your company then you can start working on H1. Since its not stamped, it will not get cancelled when you get your L1 stamped.
