  • H1 status and Visa Stamping

I came to US on F1 -Student visa 1996 and the student visa expired in Dec 2001 after my completion of MBA and then I went on OPT (Optional Practical
    training after graduation).

Since then I have not travelled outside US. Hence there is no visa stamping in my passport.

Since Feb2006, I've been on H1 status and HAVE NOT GOT the H1 visa stamped in my passport.

    1) My question is if I come to London on Visitor visa to UK and visit US consulate office to get my H1 stamped as a third world country (India), can I get it done at US consulate in London?
    2) Is it possible for Indian nationals to get visa stamped there?
    3) What are the documents required to visit the US consulate & how to book a appointment date with consulate?
    4) What is the fee?
    5) How long would it take?

If you guys have some answers, please let me know.

    Thank You.
