Regarding SSN Please help me out

Hi All,
I came to US on 20th june 2007 and applied for SSN before one month.I am on H1B Visa.But the problem is that I have not yet received my SSN.I am still worried about it..I mean when will I get it?..I am requesting you to please let me know Usually How long it will take to get my SSN..Please reply

Hai deepakshi

After coming to USA u have to apply ur SSN after 2 weeks. Then it takes 1 week to 10 days to get ur SSN. If u apply immediately after coming it usually takes more days. Some of my friends applied immediately and it took more than 2 months.

It can easily take 6-7 weeks.

Don't worry - Go to SSA Office

If you don't get your SSN cards in about 4 weeks and are worried, you can always go to your SSA office with all your documents and they will be very helpful.

If need be they will re-apply for another card just in case.
