can i book inteview in delhi/kolkata?

Hi,

My H1 case has been approved and now I will have to go for interview.

I am working in Bangalore from last 2 year and my native is Bihar.
I have given Bihar address in my passport.

Can I give my residence Bihar while booking interview slot so that I can have interview in delhi or kolkata? I want to avoid going Chennai.

As per the rules laid down and as mentioned in VFS website, you must appear in Chennai.

You can avoid going to Chennai and goto Delhi or Kolkata consulate if you live in a city that comes under the jurisdiction of Delhi/Kolkata consulate for six months before appearing for the interview.
Recently I heard that one can goto any consulate if s/he is interviewing in English, please confirm this rule by a reliable source. Seniors/Mods, can you please help us on this one? Thanks.
