My wife is in India. Can I apply H4 extension for her in USA?

I am having H1B visa is going to be expired on Sep 30 th 2007 and I am going for extension. Same way my wife H4 visa is also going to be expired on same day. Now she is in India. Can I apply H4 extension for her in USA?

Can any one help me regarding this?

if your wife needs to come back after Sep 30 then you should apply premium as she will have to get a new stamp.

if she is coming before that, then she does not need to go for stamping and can enter using her old stamp, but since you can apply for only when you are in USA she will have to apply as soon as she gets here.

As long as the extension is applied for and received at USCIS before I-94 expiry date you are legal to stay here and work.
