H1 Visa expiring do i need stamp

Hi Gurus/Seniors

My visa stamp in my PP is going to expire on 09/29, i have my new I 94 valid till 12/2008, do i need to get stamped to stay after 09/29.If i am not getting it stamped, will be i be staying in the country legally, please any information on this is of great help.

You do'nt need a visa stamp if you are inside the US with the valid approval notice(I-797). Your stay is completely legal till 12/2008.
You will need a visa stamp in pp if you wish to enter the US after 09/29.
