H1B Transfer while in India

Hello,

I have got my H1B stamped through Company 'X' and till now I haven't travelled US on this Visa.

Currently I also have an offer from US based employer and my question is:- Can I transfer my H1B Visa from my current employer to the above mentioned US based employer while I am in India. If Yes, what are the prerequisites for the same.

---- Come to the US and then get the H1 transferred within a month. At that time there is no need of pay stubs. Trransferring while in India is a tough proposition

what about the SSN app?

I'm told that , the first employer (Company 'X' in this case) files for your SSN.
Is that process affected when you leave the employer??
