Time required to get a US H4 visa

Dear all,

I am based in mumbai. I want to apply for a H4 visa. Can anyone please tell me how long it will take me to get a US visa after submitting the form? Also I wanted to know whether I will be able to pursue courses like CPA (AICPA) and CFA from there with a H4 visa.This is very important. Please answer my queries. Thanks.

As soon as you get the appointment at the consulate and appear for interview if everything goes well you will get the visa. Since no preapproval is required from USCIS you can apply at the nearest embassy.

You can study for the proffessional exams but will nnot be able to undergo any paid internship or any other work.
