    What is H1B under exempt/premium? Urgent

    I am working on L1 and applied for a H1b COS thru another employer and got it approved. Now my existing employer, in the bid to retain me claims that I can continue with them as they can by file my H1B under exempt/premium.

    Can this type of application happen for the current year wherein the quota is already complete?

    yes, it can be done, through your previous H1 approval you have been counted against the cap already so will be cap-exempt for next 6 years.
