I have a tourist visa that expires August 2009. I has been using this kind of visa from 1994 and I have had multiple entries with out any overstay.
I got married in July 21 with a Norwegian citizen who has been under a H1B visa from August 2007.
Currently I am in USA from July 21, 2007 and I am allowed to be here until December 31, 2007.
After my research I found the following options:
1. Go to Colombia in December and ask for a H4 visa.
2. First get my H4 status in USA and afterwards go to Colombia to ask for my H4 stamp.
3. Go back and forth to Colombia every six months, still using my tourist visa until my wife applies with me for a green card. (My understanding is that I will be part of green card processes only in the last stage of it)
Could someone give me an advice?
