Regarding possibility of H1 transfer from Employer 1 to Employer 2

Hi All,
Recently i got H1B through my employer in India. Now iam in India only. Iam sure, they dont send me to US for a year. may i know, is there any possibility to transfer to another employer in US? Some of my friends told me that, first time, i have to gothrough my current employer only. Kindly confirm me and suggest me any.
