  • Appointment location: US resident

    Hi,

The VFS website says that Indian citizens resident in the US can go for appointments to any one of the 4 consulates. However, once I have filled out my forms, the VFS website defaults to delhi as the location (based on my residence address). There are no dates available in Delhi and I would like to get the stamping done in Mumbai. Can someone please give me some advice on how I can get this done?

    Thanks a lot
    Subbu

Put residence address as US address and NOT Delhi address.

    It should work after that.

    Look at https://www.immihelp.com/usa-visas/u...pointment/#new

    Look at item #2.

    There are two choices
    'A resident of India/Bhutan'
'An Indian citizen resident in the US'

You need to choose the later option.

if one is going for the first time and has given in the forms the US address,no harm in choosing "Resident of India/bhutan" and then going to the corresponding state for the interview. Is that correct?
