My consultant had applied for a Visa this year .
Its got approved and I need to get the stamping now.
But, I am already in US on L1 visa.

    Please suggest if,

    1) I can work on H1 to my consultant, without stamping my H1?
    2) Can I get my stamping from Mexico/Canada without going back to my native country?

Any other suggestion in this regard to me will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

----u need to apply for Change of Status(COS) from L1 to H1 if you are willing to work on H1 which asually take 2 to 3 months, then only you can work for H1 employer even with out stamping and it can be done anytime later.
