H1-B new LCA and EAD

Hello All,

This is my case: I have an EAD and an I 797 from my company for DC location. My company recently transferred me to Las Vegas. I'm going to India in Jan 08 to get married. I have the following quesions:

1. Do I need a new LCA (new I797) for Las Vegas
2. Can I get appointment with US consulate in mumbai with DC I797 and present the Las Vegas I 797 when I go to the appntment?
3. Does my relocating to a Las Vegas affect my EAD or I 485 even though I'm working for the same company?

Please let me know when, I will like to get these things figured out before I leave for India. Thanks a lot, Alok

it depends on the wording on LCA if it mentions specific city/state then you cannot use it. Your company can file amendment it usually takes a 2-5 days.

You can take an appointment with old petition and present the new amended H1 later...

It does not affect your I-485 or EAD in anyway.
