H1B Holder how long to stay in india

I am a valid H1B holder .I am working here (NY) for 10 months. My company offering me to work from offshore project in india for 2-4 months. I heard that there is a maximum days that i can stay out of US. Can anyone please let me know how long i can stay in India.

I have past 10 months pay stuff of my current employer. I have not changed my employer from the beginning to till date.

You can stay as long as you want, but if you decided to change the employer in the future you need your pay stub.
