Senior members(Subramanya) pls help in my case

Hi My H1B is filed in the 2005 quota after attending the consulate they gave 221(g) AAP.After long time 4 days back i got mail from the consulate (VFS) they send 221(g),Original I797 and I129.In 221(g) they mentioned send me the Passport and letter from the employer.I contact my employer he told that my case was closed in the US i didn't get what exgatly.How its possible without submiting my Original I797 its possible to close the case.

Please senior members clarify me in this regard.
