Dear Sir/ Madam,
I have a H1B visa and it will expire on December 2008 at the end of my first 3 years. I am planning to apply for renewal of my H1B for another 3 years during May/June 2008. My wife and son having H4 visa wish to travel India February they will return by April 2008. we have out H1B/H4 visas stamped on our Indian passport. We did it last year.
My questions is how early can someone travel with H1B/H4 visa before its expiry ? Do they have to appear to US Consulate Calcutta for an interview or not ?
