Hi..I have got my H1B premium transfered to a another company..USCIS recieved my application on Feb 19th and on Feb 20th they had sent out an email to my mawyers acknowledging the application. My current employent ends on Feb 20th itself and will join this new company on March 10. So i would not be on any payrol for about 20 days.
Technically my lawyers told me that the day USCIS recieve the application i can start working for new employer the next day. But since my joining is from March 10th and i would be on payrol of my new company from then only so will i have any problem. Someone told me that problem can happen on my next entry in to US if they find out that i was not on legal status for sometime in US. So please advice.
Is this a problem? Am i on legal status or is it something to worry about?
