H1b transfer - difference betwween joining and leaving date.

Hi,

My joining date with my new employer is set to April 28th. My new employer has already filed my h1-transfer.
Thinking that payroll ends on Saturdays, I sent my 15day notice to my previous employer saying that I will leave on SATURDAY April 26th, while my joining date is not until MONDAY April 28th(with new employer).

What should I do now? Will this result in a 1-day OUT OF STATUS period in my H1B.

Don't worry

It's a holiday anyway and doesn't count. Technically you have at least 10 days grace (grey area) without having a H1B visa to stay in the country.
