H1 to F1

My H1 visa expire at the end of the month, does anyone know some school can issue I20 very quickly so that I can catch up the deadline? also is that OK if I apply for a community college which offers some associate degrees so I can get I20 from there? any problem if I do that, could I be rejected by INS? Thanks a lot.

I am almost in a similar situation as yours and I had talked to a student who did H-1 to F-1 in a community college. based on what he said, it should be OK. But since Sep 11, things have changed. So it would be really nice if someone on the board can reply to this. Even I am planning to go to a community college but have some concern if INS would approve the change of status.
