Urgent- H1 transfer uderway need to call parents from India

Hi,
On Jan 31st I got laid off and my new employer is going to file my H1 transfer on 02/25. I need to call my parent from India on visitor visa immediately. I have visa stamped on passport from my previous employer H1 and visa is valid till 02/25/03.
Can I call them once I get INS H1 filing receipt?
Anybody can help me.

use the same attorney who does your H1 transfer to prepare documents for visitors visa. That is the best way to ensure that you are doing everything in line with what DOS or INS will do...
But Short answer is yes.
